Audrey Connor is originally from Oak Grove, MO, attending K-12 and graduating in 1983. As an alumna of the University of Central Missouri (UCM), she has earned each her degrees but also has advanced-subject study hours from MU, Truman, and Rockhurst. Over the course of her thirty-year career, Ms. Connor taught two years in Fayette, MO, one in La Monte, MO, and the last twenty-seven in Marshall, MO.  She has served her students as an instructor in a variety of English classes, including dual credit, and multiple levels (I-V) in Spanish.  Likewise, Ms. Connor has encouraged her students through her sponsorship of cheerleaders, color guard, drill team, yoga club, and initiated and coached a successful Scholar Bowl program for twenty years at MHS and was awarded the Carol Farmer Award by her peers in the Missouri Academic Coaches Association in 2015. Supporting her faculty and staff, Ms. Connor has been a long-term MSTA member, serving one term on the Central Region Executive Committee and as an active member in the MHS Community Teachers Association, acting in a number of leadership positions and committees. In 2015-16, Ms. Connor was the MPS Outstanding Secondary Teacher of the Year and the district’s first Regional Outstanding Teacher of the Year nominee.

Continuing to enjoy the adventure of marriage, Ms. Connor has been married to Bill Connor since 1990 and claims two fur-children, Abigail Sunshine (German Shepherd) and Officer Gallo (Belgian Malinois).  Mr. Connor and his canine partner are officers of the Sedalia Police Department. As a family, the Connors enjoy participating in the Pettis County K9 Academy, taking rides, and playing in the backyard. Ms. Connor is an avid reader who also appreciates a variety of music, dance, and viewing films.  On Monday and Wednesday evenings, you will find Ms. Connor, a registered yoga instructor (RYT 200), teaching beginners/gentle yoga at Body Retreat 2 in Sedalia.  Embracing a fresh opportunity, Ms. Connor is quite enthusiastic to join the Otterville faculty as the high school English teacher.
