Degrees and Certifications:
I have been employed with the Otterville School District for 18 years in the capacity of the Title One Teaching Assistant. I also coach softball in the spring, and recently have taken over as Parents as Teachers Parent Educator. I grew up in a small town, Perry, close to Mark Twain Lake. I graduated from Mark Twain in 1984, and went on to Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman University). I obtained an Associates Degree in 1986 and started working in a law firm in Kirksville. I moved to this area in 1989, and began working at the State of Missouri Probation and Parole Office in Sedalia. Once I started having children, I gave up my full time job to be home with my kids. Shortly after, I began substitute teaching at Otterville, and later accepted the position as the Title One Assistant. I have two sons, Kaleb and Jake, both electrical linemen, and one Grandson, Kale, which I love spending time with anytime I can steal him away. I enjoy the outside, whether it's fishing on the boat or camping and riding side-by-sides.
I began seeing families in September, and it has been a real joy to visit with the families. I enjoy bringing knowledge to families, and I, myself, have been excited to learn more about educating the wee-little ones.
