Dear Otterville Families,

Hi! I am Jill Nolting and I am the Director of Special Services at Otterville.   This will be my thirty-third year at Otterville. Before retiring in 2013, I taught Special Education for three years and Third Grade for 26 years.   I grew up in the Otterville/Florence area, and attended and graduated from Otterville School.  I am married to my husband Jeff.   We have two children.  Our oldest is Jordyn Nolting McQuaide (Lucas) and our youngest is Jacob Nolting (Karen).  We have one grandchild, Landon McQuaide   He is our pride and joy!  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, volunteering at Landon’s school, and shopping.

After graduating from Otterville High School, I went to Central Missouri State University (now UCM) and obtained a BSE in Elementary Education Grades 1-8, and Math, Grades 7-8.  Then I returned to Otterville School as a teacher.  In 1999, I furthered my education by getting my MSE in Elementary Administration.  In 2013, I retired from teaching, but I have continued since then serving as the district’s Special Services Director.

As Special Services Director, it is my main focus to ensure that students with special needs are receiving the support and services they need in order to be successful in the school environment.  This includes Special Education under IDEA, Section 504, English Language Learners (ELL), and Homeless.

I am proud to call Otterville my hometown!  I feel like we have the best school, students, parents, teachers, and staff here, and I enjoy having the opportunity to continue to be a part of the “family” here at Otterville!
